In nature, light is captured in many ways.
One of those ways is sparkle.
When the ocean catches the sunlight in its movement, it looks like glitter, its both alluring and relaxing, uplifting and calm.
What great energies to integrate into your interior.

LEADLIGHT
Captures light and breaks it into texture and colour, illuminating a space with art and light.

IMITATION
Art can imitate sparkle and give the impression that you are experiencing the beach on a sunlit day. This piece is so clever and beautiful with a stunning colour palette too.

SHELLS
Shells come in many forms but many reflect the light, paua being a popular choice in New Zealand. But shell like finishes will give that iridescent experience and add to the complexity of textures within a space, whilst offering some glimmer too.

TILES LIKE JEWELS
Elevate the experience of a tiled space by introducing some glitter, like the ocean the sparkle is offered in momentary flecks of light, think of it like jewellery to a space rather than overwhelming with a full shiny surface.

METALLIC
Metallic surfaces also reflect the light and will lift a space from falling flat. This is partly why the brass era has been so successful.

GLITTER
Literal glitter is going to catch the light in your home and a beautiful way to do this is to support an artist that uses glitter paint.
A piece like this is a small frame well positioned is a beautiful little way to ignite a space with detail and reflect.

Hopefully this post sparked some inspiration to bring a little extra zing into your living spaces. By harnessing positive experiences in nature we can create spaces that inspire and nurture our relationship with ourselves and the world we live in.
Have a fabulous day designing your life x
